Mississippi State University, Geosystems Research Institute, along with the Northern Gulf Institute and the Department of Geosciences, has been sampling water quality via autonomous surface vessel (SEATRAC) and supported by the R/V Sound Surveyor on operations from the Pearl River to Grand Bay, along the Mississippi Gulf Coast.
